The collective consciousness on planet Earth at the moment is Fear.  Not surprising really, given the current climate, and the general uncertainty of our future. What does it all mean? Is there a deeper more spiritual meaning? I certainly don’t proclaim to have a definitive answer to the magnitude of the challenge facing us, but I have an intuitive understanding and sense of the situation. We are experiencing a quantum jump in consciousness, this is a massive transformation. See the virus from a new way, as symptomatic of the collapse of the old earth and symptomatic of a jump to the new earth that is coming in for us.

As a Hypnotherapist and trauma release therapist, I am privy to people’s back story, and I consider that a privilege, to bear witness to an individual’s past experience that has necessitated there willingness to be vulnerable and enter therapy, it takes enormous courage. Within that individuals consciousness, their heart and soul, they know there is the potential to feel better, more joyful and peaceful. They are yearning for change and relief. To feel better than they do presently, and deep within their soul is calling them back to their full potential, to self actualisation. Just as a flower will naturally actualise to its full potential, as nature intended, so it is innate within us to do the same, we are part of the Divinity of Life and we all deserve peace and joy, life was never meant to be this hard, surely!  Unfortunately life is pretty desperate for many of us and we can become mired in hopelessness and despair, leading to depression, stress, anxiety and fear. We end up living in fight or flight stress response, having knee jerk reactions to life, and never finding supportive and nurturing ways to create inner balance.

Many of us exist in a state of continuous fear, we may have experienced traumatic events in the past, that still trigger us to this day, to the subconscious mind linear time is irrelevant. In my life, this was very much the case, having grown up with a violent, angry father. I had no idea what feeling safe was like, no idea what unconditional love felt like, and certainly no idea about self worth. It was safer to be seen and not heard, to be overly nice, do as I was told and to not take up space. Then I became a teenager and rebelled big time. I had good cause, and there was nothing on this earth that could stop me. A new me emerged and she was running the show now, and years later in therapy I called her ‘psycho bitch’ because she took me on a mission to the dark side of life that lasted 40 years. I even wrote a book about her and her addictive antics that nearly killed me a few times! I’m lucky to be here if I’m honest.  Through all of the chaos, when ‘psycho bitch’ was in full shame and alcohol driven drama, there was always that transcendent inner voice calling me back home, to my true self. Something had to break the desolate drama of addiction, and of course, it came when I reached my lowest point, and the emotional pain was just too heavy a burden to endure. I caved, and sought professional help. I pushed the reset button, heeding the call home to my authentic self. It took deep work to evolve beyond fear, and the fight or flight stress response that by all sense and purposes had become my default personality. I had no idea who I was behind the façade of ‘psycho bitch.’ But, I was determined to find out, and equally determined to access peace and joy. Other people had it, why not me?

Mine was a spiritual pursuit, a steady day to, day practice that would give me the key to a state of being that had eluded me my entire life. Addiction, fear and drama had lost its allure, I was looking for a deeper love, one that wouldn’t make false promises and wouldn’t betray me. I wanted a connection to Spirit, and I would not stop until I felt that connection and could trust it.

The deeper I delved into my Spiritual practice, the more happier and peaceful I became. I released despair, sadness, anger, and shame with Hypnotherapy, Inner Child work, breathing techniques, trauma release and meditation. I made friends with psycho bitch, and forgave her for her inappropriate choices, that caused so much shame, the stain of which still stings on occasion.

Our wonderful planet has pushed the reset and reboot button, it’s time. Many people intuitively know and understand that something massive and life transforming was on the way to create a monumental shift in consciousness, to bring humanity to a standstill. Whatever it was, however it looked, it had to get our full attention, it had to bring us to a moment whereby we asked some significant existential questions about our lives, what we truly wanted, what we valued, and who we are now as the human race. Are we all ‘one’, or are we separate from each other? Is cruelty to animals and people acceptable? Can we continue to treat our planet with utter indifference and get away with it? I think the answer is evidently a resounding ‘No!’ The planet has pushed the reset button, bringing herself back to balance, going through the process of self actualisation and there is nothing we can do now to stop it. There seems to be an underlying actualising spiritual force now guiding outcomes, and it will have its way regardless of how we feel and how inconvenient it is to our everyday lives. The wind of change has begun, a pivotal moment, there is work to be accomplished, transforming the current structures of society, and that begins within ourselves and the challenging process of inner change, of alchemising fear with awareness, shame with self value and separation with unity. Fear is palpable right now, rising up for the purpose of release, reminding us that anything that is unlike love will now show up powerfully for healing. What we are left with, is a very significant choice. Do we respond with fear, adding more to the collective consciousness and in doing so deplete our immune system and create even more low vibration energy, or do we surrender to what ‘is’ and make more positive, caring, kinder choices for our lives, the planet, animals, and humanity.

The more we are able to maintain a calm and composed presence of peace, it will dissipate the fear. The virus thrives on the low, energetic vibration of fear, panic, anxiety and stress. I recognise that toxic energy and lived it for many ‘addict’ fuelled  unhappy years, until I pushed the reset button and made a conscious choice to align with a new dimensional existence, creating space to usher in a high vibration love and trust. I choose now to stay calm and present, to the best of my ability. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not sitting here wrapped in a material security blanket, my business has suffered, but I’m keeping myself in a good headspace with meditation, self hypnosis, self Havening, eating healthy, limited media exposure, walks, no caffeine, no alcohol and no drama. I meditate on where I want to be in my life, and limit my focus to what is going on. I feel grateful that I have resources learned over the years to support myself emotionally, and I help my clients do the same, with the Havening Technique for Emotional Release, Hypnotherapy for Fear and Anxiety, Creative Visualisation and modalities to  neurologically hardwire new outcomes for a happier, fulfilling life.

“Thinking happens to you when you are not aware.” Eckhart Tolle

Taming our thoughts is challenging, as is just simply stopping still. We are now in a state of enforced stillness, to retreat from the busyness of the world and in doing so have the ideal ‘moments’ to enquire what is really going on in our minds and within our emotional bodies. Observing the mind chatter and how it is compelled to fret about the future is a default way of being, we are conditioned to project worrying thoughts into the road ahead, just in case that worse case scenario materialises. It is a totally illusionary realm and it causes distress, triggering uncomfortable feelings, that in turn refuel the worrying, fearful thoughts. We continually add to our suffering and in the process deplete our immune systems, triggering our fight or flight stress response. It then becomes more of a challenge to retrieve a positive state, and consequently we might start to feel hopeless and depressed.

“You are at the mercy of the energy field called thought’ Eckhart Tolle

I think the important thing to recognise is that we are not our thoughts, and that we have the resources and the ability to change them, before they snowball. It’s better to stop a car hitting a tree at 30 miles an hour, than it is at 100 miles an hour. Momentum can be thwarted before too much damage is done, stress is abated, and we are not finding all manner of unhealthy, mood altering ways to escape and  ‘feel good.’

Firstly, we need to take back control by utilising inner self awareness, the vast reservoir of internal resources at our disposal. What are those specifically? Our subconscious mind, the true powerhouse when it comes to healing. We live 95% of our lives driven by subconscious programs we receive before the age of 7! We are literally programmed ‘robots’ with beliefs that we downloaded from our childhood. I certainly didn’t want to live my entire life using my fathers operating system and beliefs about women! It is therefore imperative to get our subconscious in alignment with our conscious intent, and our souls higher awareness and it’s purpose for us. One way would be listening to hypnosis recordings, follow my YouTube, I will be adding more recordings soon specifically for fear, anxiety and boosting our immune system.  The next is finding uplifting ways to bring the mind into balance and peace, through meditation, self hypnosis and visualisation, directing our mind to hope and positive outcomes, reducing stress levels and giving our immune system space to do its essential work. Apparently scientific research suggests that 95% of the reasons people visit the doctors is stress related illness. There is also reams of scientific evidence to support the many benefits of a daily meditation practice, leading to stress reduction, more joy and peace.

Utilising our mind for higher awareness then becomes vitally important as we navigate our life through these challenging and uncertain times. If only we were taught early on in life that we are not our thoughts, we are the awareness behind them, this knowledge would’ve given us the resources to master our mind, and not be subjected to its fear driven agenda. But, wherever we are on our journey, it is now more important than ever, to go within, become familiar with our negative thoughts, bring them out into the open and then quite literally dump them. Let them go, life is too short and there is too much at stake to indulge ourselves with fear, that compromises our immune system and biology, every negative thought has an unwanted biological reaction in our body. This is the time to dig deep, to gain insight and to make changes that serve a more evolved, loving human race. Collectively we are being called to release and transcend the past, raise our vibration and embrace a new evolutionary unity consciousness, from the old negative 3D paradigm to an expansive 5D paradigm, that is heart centred and grounded in truth.

Now that we have all the time in the world, rather than look outside, use that time to go within. Find resources that support you as an individual. In the near future I will be creating hypnosis recordings for anxiety, stress and fear (available on my YouTube Channel). A ‘listen to daily’ positive meditation to reprogram our subconscious mind and alleviate negativity. Fear will cut us off from our spirit and soul, it’s important to try our best to remain present. A useful technique is to breathe in through your nose for a count of 5, hold for 5, and breathe out fully through your mouth for 8, keep going until you feel calmer. Also, 10 minutes a day, write a list of the things you are grateful for, this refocuses the mind. Digging deep useful questions might be, what wasn’t working in my life before? Was I passionate? Was I purposeful? Was I living in connectivity? Was I evolving? How was I contributing?

Never has there been a better time for a life review. Decide to calibrate yourself to what’s becoming and not to what is. What ‘is’ is the enemy of future expansion. Holding on causes contraction, release the past, and open your heart, soul and spirit to new possibilities, opportunities and a deeper connection to yourself.
